Ukrainian Boxer Lomachenko Defeated American Ortiz

With a score of 115:113, 116:112, 117:111, Lomachenko challenges undisputed world lightweight champion Devin Haney

On October 29, Vasily Lomachenko fought Jamaine Ortiz. The fight lasted 12 rounds. Initially, Lomachenko abandoned survival tactics and, from the first round, began to exchange blows with an opponent. Despite the fact that Lomachenko entered the ring as the favourite, the stakes were high: the winner gets the right to fight the undisputed world lightweight champion, Devin Haney. By the way, Haney was one of the spectators at the duel between Lomachenko and Ortiz.

Until the 9th round, Ortiz went ahead with the goal of "taking the round" on the judges' records, and after 9, Lomachenko began to attack. Ortiz could attack less with every minute, and no one got a long-term victory. As a result, Lomachenko's victory was determined by three judges — 115:113, 116:112, 117:111.

Thus, the Ukrainian boxer chose the opportunity to fight for the title of absolute world champion.

We remind you that the Ukrainian boxer Vitali Klitschko is now the mayor of Kyiv, and Oleksandr Usyk is the ambassador of the crowdfunding platform United24.
