On Monday, January 10, the online acceptance of applications for participation in the All-Ukrainian startup grind Kyiv startup-projects contest was finished. This is the first time such a competition has been held in the country. Winners will get a chance to go to the biggest event in the world of development — festival of innovations, achievements of culture and technologies, South by Southwest.
But before the best Ukrainian projects can be shown at the festival in Austin, Texas, they will have to pass the inspection and presentation. The inspection rules include the examination of the submitted applications and prototypes/models. Services and products claiming victory should:
- To be positioned as a Ukrainian development;
- Be based on Ukrainian technology;
- To have a clear calculation of the amount that is necessary for the implementation of the project;
- Have a dynamic of attraction and retention of the clients etc.
Ukrainian developers will present the projects on January 21, 2022. Based on the results of the research, the 6 best projects will be selected. They will present Ukraine at a large event.
The Ukrainian startup foundation and the Ministry of digital transformation of Ukraine will assume all travel expenses. In addition, the organizations will cover the cost of producing presentation stands for the winners.
This year SXSW will be held from 11 to 20 March. The event will present new developments and prototypes of future projects and raise a number of pertinent issues. According to the tradition established since the early years of South by Southwest (1987), the festival will be attended by famous personalities. America’s 44th president, Barack Obama, American entrepreneur Elon Musk, and others are among them.
