This figure represents a decrease of 1 million 033 thousand tons, or 1.02 times less than the previous year.
The Ministry's latest data reflects a slight adjustment from the preliminary figures published on April 17, which reported exports totaling 38 million 608 thousand tons for the same period.
Breaking down the exports by type:
- Wheat: Ukraine exported 15 million 106 thousand tons, an increase of 1 million 372 thousand tons or 1.09 times more than the previous year.
- Barley: Shipments totaled 2 million 139 thousand tons.
- Rye: For the first time in 2024, exports reached 200 thousand tons, contributing to a total of 1.2 thousand tons exported since the beginning of the 2023/2024 marketing year.
- Corn: The export volume stood at 21 million 515 thousand tons, which is 2 million 126 thousand tons or 1.09 times less than the previous year.
- Flour: Exports amounted to 84.2 thousand tons (equivalent to 112.3 thousand tons in grain terms), marking a decrease of 39.3 thousand tons or 1.46 times less than last year.
The Ministry highlighted a broader trend of a 17% decrease in the rate of agricultural product exports in the first half of the 2023/2024 marketing year compared to the previous year, reflecting ongoing challenges in the sector.
