Ukrainian-Made UF Training Kits Cleared for Front-Line Training

MoD green-lights IP65-rated, ammunition-free system with 1 km “shot” range and 12-hour battery life

Kyiv, 9 July 2025 — The Ministry of Defense has officially codified and admitted to service a new domestically produced UF training kit, giving Ukrainian units a rugged, fully autonomous tool for live-action exercises without expending ammunition.

Why It Matters

  • Realistic drills, zero ammunition cost

  • Enhanced safety during urban or confined-area training

  • Faster tactical feedback thanks to onboard hit-detection sensors

Key Specifications

  • Maximum simulation range: > 1 km per shot

  • Battery endurance: 12+ hours continuous use

  • Environmental protection: IP65 (dust-tight, water-jet resistant)

  • Mounting options: Compatible with standard infantry weapons and vehicle hard-points

  • Power management: Quick-swap Li-ion packs; status LED indicators

Training Advantages

Feature Benefit to Units
Dynamic “laser shot” tech Replicates real ballistics for CQB, open-terrain, and convoy drills
No live rounds needed Cuts costs and removes logistical bottlenecks
Instant hit detection Accelerates AAR (after-action review) cycles
Weatherproof design Operates in rain, snow, or dust without degradation

Ministry statement:
“The UF kit was engineered around frontline feedback, allowing defenders to rehearse complex tactical scenarios safely and efficiently.”

Field Deployment Timeline

  1. July–August 2025: Distribution to combat-training centers and select brigade schools

  2. September 2025: Integration into battalion-level field exercises

  3. Q4 2025: Scale-up production for nationwide rollout

What’s Next

  • Modular add-ons under development for armored platforms and UAV crew training

  • Software suite planned for real-time exercise analytics and cloud-based performance tracking
