The National Democratic Institute for International Affairs in the USA met to consider the further development of democratic foundations in other countries. Ukraine knows better than anyone how to fight for freedom and democracy. Therefore, the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, was invited to present to the NDI.
The head of Ukraine said that the world should never give in to dictatorship. Otherwise, it will destroy democracy. In his view, each country should protect its values, culture, and benchmarks. Only in this way can democracy be developed and promoted. In turn, Zelenskyy also stated that Ukraine will not capitulate to Russia. He believes that democracy should always be fought for, at any time, without tempting concessions and a temporary truce.
The Ukrainian politician also called on the US NDI to continue its work, to be leaders, and to support Ukraine in confronting the aggressor.
"Whoever starts an unprovoked and criminal war must lose and be held accountable. Ukraine and the world must be guaranteed peace, stability, and security. Any other option, except for the Ukrainian victory, will be a mistake, and it must be honestly recognized," said the president of Ukraine.
