Ukrzaliznytsia is a Ukrainian state enterprise, the main field of activity of which is railroad transportation. Today the company have successfully built long-term partnership with plenty of companies around the globe. Ukrzaliznytsia is an almost complete monopoly in the field of rail transportation in Ukraine.
At the aforementioned online auctions, Ukrzaliznytsia managed to sell a scrap of ferrous metals for more than $38 mln and non-ferrous metals and alloys for $6 mln.
The press service of the enterprise, headed by Ivan Yuryk, reports: “The other day, 12 auctions for the sale of non-ferrous scrap were successfully held. As planned, almost 2 thousand tons of raw materials were sold for $6 million. The increase in value at the auction relative to the initial one was $260 thsd."
Earlier, Ukrzaliznytsia announced a plan to sell 30 thsd of the next batch of ferrous scrap and get about $7 mln.
