Startup World Cup is open to schoolchildren and students who create innovative projects. The basic requirements for participants are two:
- Officially registered business;
- A desire to present their project on the global market.
As specified in the press service of the ministry of education and science, children under the age of 18 may participate in startup teams. Moreover, it is possible to register your startup in Ukraine even at the age of 16 with parental consent.
First, the national stage will take place. The organizers of the worldwide contest will choose 12 creators to present their projects in Kyiv on March 31. The winner will approve the Ukrainian jury of the Startup World Cup after the presentation comes to an end.
The startup winner will present his project at the Startup World Cup in the fall of 2022 in San Francisco, Silicon Valley. $1 million is slated to be the top award. There are also additional prizes of tens of thousands of dollars from the event’s partners every year.
The official partner of the Startup World Cup in Ukraine is the business incubator of the Ukrainian future academy of sciences. This was made possible by signing an agreement with the organizer of the competition, the international venture company Pegasus Tech Ventures. Pegasus Tech Ventures invested more than $14 billion, and its clients included SpaceX, Airbnb, and SoFi.
