Ukrainian Venture Capital Association (UVCA) Publishes “Investors Book 2021”

UVCA publishes Ukraine's most extensive catalog of fundraising opportunities for startups

The digital catalog, dubbed Investors Book 2021, has brought together nearly 90 venture capital funds, business angels, accelerators and incubators interested in supporting the Ukrainian technology sector.

In total, the catalog includes 85 organizations from Ukraine and abroad. Users can get structured information about each of the Investors Book 2021 participants and see what industry they work in, what funding amounts they provide, and what projects and at what stage they support. All information in the Investors Book 2021 has been provided

directly by market participants.

According to the organizers, the Investors book 2021 is the largest catalog update since 2017, when its first copy was released. The updated edition contains twice as many participants as the previous one, and for the first time, they include family offices, investment clubs, and investment companies. Vast geography represents active investors. Besides Ukraine, the catalog contains funds and individual investors from the USA, Poland, the Baltic countries, the Netherlands, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Great Britain, Spain, Switzerland and Belarus. An office in Ukraine has 76% of the catalog participants. Their geography is not limited to Kyiv — the catalog also includes offices in Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Lviv, Odesa and Kharkiv. The total number of projects in the portfolio of participants is more than 3000. Investors provide financing in the early stages (pre-seed and seed) and later.

Now Ukrainian founders and teams will have a single point of contact with the majority of active investors, and they will know quite precisely whether they will be able to interest them in their project. Investors will be able to discover new ambitious projects faster. It is definitely a launching pad for developing Ukraine's innovative economy, where startups will find ideal partners to launch the projects.

Investors Book 2021 can give a new impetus to the development of the technological ecosystem in Ukraine, opening up access to early-stage financing for many startups. Instead of a long search — a quick choice from hundreds of possibilities and more chances for the project's success. At the same time, this catalog is a guide for investors and a basis for new partnerships.

"After all, this is not only a demonstration of the potential of the Ukrainian technological sphere but also a generator of real projects that can make a significant contribution to the development of the country's innovative economy," says Anton Melnyk, investment expert at the Ukrainian Ministry of digital transformation.

The Investors Book 2021 initiative was implemented by the Ukrainian venture capital, Private equity association, and Ukraine's Competitive economy program in collaboration with the Ministry of digital transformation of Ukraine.
