Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians before the war were in other European countries for various reasons: a new place of residence, earnings, recreation, guests, etc.
However, on February 24, that is, from the beginning of the war, 100.000 people returned to Ukraine. This is the largest figure for the return of our citizens from the country in the entire history of its independence.
According to the Center for Strategic Communications, most of this number are men who returned to Ukraine to defend it.
According to the National Guard of Ukraine, the number of volunteers in the territorial defense has already exceeded 100 thousand people. After the end of the war, this organization will become an official part of the country's defense system.
