Ukrainians Win the Third Medal at the 2020 Olympics

Having overtaken the Serbs with a score of 16:12, the Ukrainians won the consolation final in the 10 m mixed doubles air pistol tournament

Olena Kostevych and Oleh Omelchuk won the bronze medal. The confrontation for the "bronze" took place at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. For the bronze Ukrainian sportsmen competed with athletes from Serbia Zorana Arunovic and Damir Mikets, who were fourth in qualification.

In the final of the mixed pair Pan Wei Jian Ransin (China) won the first-ever Olympic gold medal in mixed 10 m air pistol shooting.

Let us remind you that this is the third medal of Ukraine at the Olympics: earlier the bronze was won by Daria Bilodyd (women's judo) and Ihor Reizlin (men's fencing).

For Kostevych, this is the fifth Olympiad. At the 2004 Games, she won the gold medal in air pistol shooting. For 38-year-old Omelchuk, this is the fourth Olympics and the first Olympic award. Prior to that, the highest result of the Ukrainian was fourth place in the pistol shooting from 50 meters at the Games in Beijing in 2008.
