On December 7, 2021, a large-scale project for IT entrepreneurs was presented. But the project was designed not to recruit experienced experts but to train the younger generation to generate ideas and protect them. This project has the status of a university. And it’s not just a name for a new IT school.
It will be possible to get higher specialized education at SET University in Kyiv. As early as 2022, it is planned to assemble the first student flow for master’s programs and bachelor’s degrees. Innovative university students will get knowledge on:
- data science
- artificial intelligence
- cybersecurity
- management and others.
Both Ukrainian and foreign specialists will work with students during their studies. The new university students will have a chance to create and implement ideas, present them to investors, and get a degree. The university will host a venture studio that will invest in the most successful students’ start-ups.
SET University in the capital of Ukraine has set the main task even before the recruitment of the first students. The project managers plan to provide jobs to anyone who crosses the university threshold. The founders believe that even after a few years of study, students will find work in their specialty. Upon graduation, the school guarantees employment. But it’s also believed that based on the knowledge acquired at the university, anyone wishing to create and promote his start-up project.
The university will function like many other higher education institutions. The university provides two models of tuition - fee-paying and free. We will also note that the project will introduce an income share agreement, which will allow everyone to get an education. Under this contract, a student may receive an education and pay for it after obtaining a diploma. Income share agreement implies payment of the debt with a percentage of the salary.
