The head of the United States Treasury, Janet Yellen, held talks with Volodymyr Zelenskyy. We discussed sanctions against Russian aggression and the consequences that China may face if it continues to help Russia.
During a joint press conference with Zelenskyy, Mrs Yellen said that thanks to sanctions against Russian aggression, this country's economic situation will only worsen.
"Over time, we will see more losses in Russia's economic trajectory," Janet Yellen.
Since Putin single-handedly determines the interests of his own and the priorities of the state, the poverty of his population in Russia, the devaluation of the ruble and the economic failure of the state are not the worst things. The main thing for Putin is the war against Ukraine. Over time, the sanctions will reach their full effect and Putin will lose the ability to wage war to restore the number of weapons and equipment. At the same time, in order for China not to extend a "hand of military assistance" to Russia, the United States warned this state about "serious consequences."
"We have made it clear that we will not tolerate systematic violations by any country of the sanctions we have imposed to deny Russia access to military equipment to fight this war," minister Yellen.
