The national Operator of the gas transmission system of Ukraine announced the receipt of a batch of drones from USAID. With the help of drones, operators will assess the level of integrity and safety of the gas infrastructure, thus protecting their personnel.
"With the help of drones, it is possible to examine hard-to-reach sections of gas pipelines in areas where active hostilities were conducted even before the demining was carried out. For example, such aerial reconnaissance allowed us to quickly detect and eliminate the depressurisation of the gas pipeline due to an enemy missile hit," head of the line maintenance service.
The drones were transferred as part of the energy security program of the GTS of Ukraine.
