USAID, with the assistance of US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink, donated 80 generators to Ukraine to keep Ukraine's critical infrastructure running, as well as 22.500 blankets for Ukrzaliznytsia's heating rooms. We remind you that it is this railway operator that has been evacuating Ukrainians from unsafe regions every day since February 24.
"As Russia works to turn off the lights, USAID Ukraine is providing 80 generators to help keep the power on. This support is just one part of the US response to Russia's cruel, sustained attack on critical infrastructure as we continue to #StandWithUkraine," Bridget Brink.
"To support Ukrzaliznytsia's warm rooms, USAID Saves Lives donated 22.500 blankets, and more are on the way. Russia's cruel attacks against civilians make it all the more important that we all work around the clock to help Ukraine weather the cold this winter in every way we can," the ambassador continued.
Prague joined the humanitarian aid to Ukraine and sent 626 heaters for critical infrastructure in Kyiv and Mykolaiv and medical equipment for hospitals in these cities.
"We are sending a package of aid to the victims of the Ukrainian genocide by Russia outside Prague: 626 heaters (400 for Kyiv, 226 for Mykolaiv), 18 aggregates (10 for Kyiv, 8 for Mykolaiv). Plus medical equipment for 22 million CZK for the public health centre at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine," Praha mayor Zdeněk Hřib.
"The Russian tyrants not only kill and destroy but also try to deprive the entire country of heat and light with vile attacks on civilian infrastructure. Therefore, we will support Ukraine until it wins. And we will support it even afterwards as part of the post-war reconstruction. One must not give way to evil!" Zdenek Hrib.
France sent 100 generators to Ukraine. Very soon, they will serve the benefit of the Ukrainians. This was reported by Catherine Colonna
"To help the population hold on, France is sending 100 high-power generators to Ukraine, while Russia wants to make winter a weapon of war. 100 generators are on their way to Ukraine. Reminder: strikes against civilian infrastructures are war crimes," Catherine Colonna.
We remind you that the mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo has granted Kyiv the status of honorary citizen of Paris.
