This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.

The company has been appointed as a service provider in a certain part of Slovakia's airspace as part of flights to and from Uzhhorod International Airport.

The government has now begun the final phase of preparations for the resumption of flights at the airport. The agency says that UkSATSE, the Slovak Ministry of Defense, and the Slovak air navigation service provider are actively working together to implement technical measures.

More about the airport

Uzhhorod International Airport has been closed since 2016 when the intergovernmental agreement between Ukraine and Slovakia on common airspace expired. Due to the location of Uzhhorod airport, planes violate the airspace of the neighboring country during takeoff and landing there.

In September 2020, the then Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladyslav Krykliy and the Minister of Transport and Construction of Slovakia Andriy Dolezhal signed a bilateral intergovernmental agreement on the provision of aviation maintenance services by Ukrainian service providers in a certain part of Slovak airspace (primarily at Uzhhorod Airport).
