Vaccination Protocol for COVID-19 in Ukraine

The government of the country approved the vaccination protocol for Ukrainians for 2022

Of the updates in the 2022 plan, booster doses of the vaccine can be noted, as well as vaccination of children and adolescents under 18 years of age. This year, it is planned to increase the vaccination coverage of citizens. One of the tools for this is the uninterrupted supply of medical institutions with certified vaccines.

According to the press service of the Ministry of health of Ukraine, the main directions will be:

  • Revaccination of vaccinated people in 2021;
  • Primary vaccination of previously unvaccinated;
  • Vaccination of children and adolescents.

The vaccination plan for 2022 also prescribes the vaccination of 70% of adult citizens of Ukraine and 80% of older Ukrainians over 60 years old. It is planned to create interdepartmental coordinating commissions of a regional scale, as well as the formation of vaccination plans for the regions.
