Vinnytsia region and Italy’s Apulia are expanding a partnership signed almost a year ago. Vinnytsia administration head Nataliia Zabolotna and newly elected Apulia president Antonio Decaro agreed to preserve existing projects and prepare new practical cooperation.
Water systems become a new priority
Apulia expressed readiness to assist the modernization of water supply in Vinnytsia region according to European Union standards. Sector specialists will meet to identify specific projects, technical needs and possible formats of support. This can turn regional diplomacy into infrastructure investment with measurable local impact.
Education and medicine are already on the agenda
The 100 by 100 Bridges of Education project already connects 32 educational institutions in Vinnytsia. The partners are also preparing cooperation between Aldo Moro University in Bari and Vasyl Stus Donetsk National University. Medical exchange may include visits by Vinnytsia doctors in cardiology, anesthesiology and burn treatment.
A partnership built around communities
The regions discussed cultural cooperation and a possible performance by the Vinnytsia regional philharmonic in Apulia. Vinnytsia also asked for help organizing recreation in Italy for children of fallen defenders. The package shows a partnership moving beyond declarations toward utilities, knowledge exchange and direct support for families.
