Violent Methods of the Forcing Russian

Passportisation in the Occupied Territories of Ukraine Deprivation of parental rights and deportation of children, denial of medical treatment/wages/pensions/maternity benefits, persecution and torture

Russians in the occupied territories totally feel like they are masters of the lives of Ukrainians and abuse the population in every possible way. In order to force Ukrainians to renounce Ukrainian citizenship and take a Russian passport, the occupiers commit the following physical and political and social violence against Ukrainians:

  • Kherson region. The Russian occupiers refuse Ukrainians to receive temporary housing instead of the one destroyed by Russian weapons or because of the terrorist attack on the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant. Ukrainians deprived of housing are also denied social assistance payments;
  • The occupying so-called "authorities" do not allow children whose parents have refused Russian passports to attend school. If the child is 14 years old, the occupiers force him/her to get a Russian passport. If the child refuses it, he/she is not allowed to attend school. The cherry on top — if the child does not go to school, the parents are deprived of parental rights, and the children deported to Russia as "orphan";
  • Mariupol. Ukrainians with Ukrainian passports are fired from their jobs;
  • Zaporizhzhia. Ukrainians with Ukrainian passports are tortured;
  • Melitopol. Mothers are not paid child benefits. Those who refuse to accept the Russian passport are also forced to undergo fingerprinting;
  • Energodar. The occupiers conduct illegal searches on offices and homes of Ukrainians, persecute and illegally imprison them;
  • Crimea. At the Periskop checkpoint, Ukrainians are forced to take a polygraph survey.

And even in these hungry, homeless, painful conditions, Ukrainians still do not renounce their citizenship and do not accept Russian passports. These people are our heroes. The history of the world will talk about them for centuries.
