On April 18, the prime minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmuhal, announced that the World Bank would take one of the leading positions in the reconstruction of Ukraine. As of today, 3 main directions and corresponding projects of cooperation with WB have been identified:
- Re-Power and the energy industry. Investment — $500 million;
- RELINC, public transport infrastructure — $585 million;
- Heal Ukraine, health care — $368 million.
Shmyhal reported that the government managed to attract 6 billion within the framework of the Special program of IBRD. Investments will be aimed at restoring and reconstructing critical and civil infrastructure. The implementation of the program is planned for this year.
