Withdrawal of Ukraine from the CIS Regular Agreement

On February 18, the parliament of Ukraine adopted the law “On withdrawal from certain international treaties concluded within the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States”

The law prescribes the structure of Ukraine's withdrawal from the agreement On the rules for determining the origin of goods from developing countries. General preferences, within the framework of which this agreement functioned, were ratified by our state in 2002.

Ukraine also withdraws from the Protocol on amendments and additions to the rules for determining the origin of goods. This protocol was adopted by the parliament of Ukraine in 2004.

“Withdrawal from the agreement will not affect the interests of Ukrainian producers and exporters, since the current legislation of Ukraine does not provide for the provision of tariff preferences under the Generalized System of Preferences for developing countries,” the explanatory note to the law says.
