“We have finally reached an agreement with «Windrose» and restore domestic passenger air transportation in Zakarpatska regions. Thanks to the efforts of the chairman of the Transport committee, members of the committee, the Minister of infrastructure, representatives of local authorities and the team of "Servants of the people" team in the Zakarpattia region, we have done important work, which was announced by Volodymyr Zelenskyy. We did everything so that Uzhgorod airport could receive the first passengers. This is a real step that we have taken together with the "Travel Ukraine" project", - said Mykola Tishchenko.
Starting from June the 1-st, they plan to launch regular flights Kyiv-Uzhgorod-Kyiv three times per week.
As Mykola Tishchenko noted, this will contribute to the tourism and economic development of the region.
In addition, it is planned to launch a special program for the training of young specialists who will be able to work on the project of building a new airport in Uzhgorod in the future. Local residents will be able to work there.
