On September 26, Russia annexed 4 Ukrainian regions, one of which is Zaporizhzhia. And today, the Russians launched a missile attack on the region's central city — Zaporizhzhia. The Russians used "Iskander" launchers and shelled the city with banned cluster munitions.
The attack was carried out against civilian infrastructure. One of the cassettes was destroyed by Ukrainian air defence, the wreckage fell to different parts of the city.
"If this missile had hit the target, the destruction would have been more extensive," head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration Oleksandr Starukh.
The city administration asks not to touch the wreckage, as they are still explosive and can lead to death or injury.
