Zelensky Discloses CIA Director’s Last Visit to Ukraine

Meetings Typically Kept Under Wraps

Bill Burns Concludes Term as CIA Director
President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed that Bill Burns, the Director of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, made one final visit to Ukraine in his current capacity. Burns will soon complete his term leading the CIA.

“Bill Burns visited Ukraine on his last visit as CIA Director. We had many meetings with him during this war, and I am grateful for his help,” – President Volodymyr Zelensky

Secret Discussions Become Public
Usually, encounters of this nature remain unpublicized. However, according to Zelensky, following this most recent visit, it was decided to disclose the information. The President noted that nearly all of these discussions—whether in Ukraine, Europe, or other parts of the world—took place quietly, without any official announcements.

“All such meetings—both here and in other European countries, in America, and in other regions—were carried out without official notice. Now, after his last visit, it is worth openly saying it,” – Zelensky

A Word of Thanks and Well-Wishes
Zelensky expressed his gratitude to Burns for his support and wished him and his family well in the future.

“I wish you, Bill, and your family all the best. May luck be with you.”

Ongoing Partnership Despite CIA Leadership Change
While no further details of the talks were disclosed, the President emphasized that the connection between both parties remains intact. Zelensky expressed confidence in maintaining ties and working together to end the war with a stable peace.

“We will probably see each other again, and we will definitely see how this war will end with a true, reliable peace, for which we are working together.”
