Zelenskyy Enacts Sanctions on Over 300 Russian and International Entities

In a decisive move, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has executed two pivotal decrees, No. 772 and No. 773, dated November 23.

These decrees are in line with the National Security Council's recent decision to apply economic sanctions against a significant number of Russian individuals and corporations.

As outlined in Decree No. 773, a series of five-year sanctions are to be imposed on a selection of Russian energy companies. These include the Vologda Oblast Energy Company, Omskelektro, Rosseti Lenenergo, and the Far Eastern Energy Management Company - GeneratsiaMerezhi. The sanctions list further extends to encompass the Moscow Energy Directorate, Salehardenergo, LOESKElectric Networks of St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region, Volgogradoblektro, Moscow Regional Energy Grid Company, Rosseti Kuban, among others.

Moreover, sanctions have been levied against the so-called "DPR", "Soyuzenergoindustry", "Soyuzenergoproekt", and the "Shakhtaimeni O.F. Zasyadka".

The sanctions are comprehensive, including measures such as the freezing of assets, trade operation restrictions, and the prohibition of capital transfers outside Ukraine's borders. This strategic action by President Zelenskyy marks a significant step in Ukraine's ongoing efforts to counter Russian influence and actions.
