Negotiations between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Justin Trudeau took place on the G7 platform. The president thanked the PM for Canada's continued support for Ukraine's strategic progress. The parties discussed further steps to strengthen the defence capability of our country.
The president highlighted Canada's technical assistance in demining the territories occupied by Russia.
"I want to thank you for your practical assistance in demining and the prompt processing of our requests by your government and Canadian manufacturers," Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy and Trudo discussed the participation of Ukrainian officers in the military education program UNIFIER and the strengthening of Canada's sanctions against Russia. Of course, they did not bypass the Formula.
Zelenskyy stressed that at the upcoming NATO summit, we expect to receive answers regarding the future of Ukraine in the alliance and the timing.
