On June 1, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Rishi Sunak, on the platform of the EU summit in Chisinau, discussed the current situation on the Ukrainian front, Russian shelling of the civilian population of our country, and the benefits from the long-range Storm Shadow recently received from the UK.
The president informed minister Sunak of the urgent need to protect the skies over Ukraine with air defences and fighter jets. Every day of waiting entails new victims. Zelenskyy thanked Rishi Sunak for his active position in forming the tank-air coalition and training Ukrainian pilots on F16 fighter jets.
The parties discussed the upcoming NATO summit: Ukraine needs a clear signal about its future in the alliance. This will be another incentive to continue our struggle.
