Today, at the invitation of Charles Michel, a delegation from Ukraine took part in the EU summit. Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the European Parliament and, in the company of Kuleba and Yermak, spoke to the European Commissioners.
"We are extremely honoured to have you here. Your place is in Europe. And you have given us, with your courage and resilience, the best project that we can work on," Roberta Metsola to Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to the president, the negotiators discussed the formula of peace as the basis for a new democracy and the steps for its implementation, as well as Ukraine's European integration.
"He spoke about the situation on the battlefield and conveyed the defence needs of Ukraine, in particular, about military aviation, armoured vehicles, artillery and air defence. In this matter, the main thing is speed. The timely provision of the necessary equipment in the required volumes will allow us to restore a just peace as soon as possible, as well as protect the interests and values of Europe," Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Today, for the first time in the history of the European Union, the anthem of Ukraine sounded in the European Parliament.
