The law was adopted on March 25 and signed on April 5. today, the law has already entered into force.
What will change for the driver and the businessman. From now on and until the victory of Ukraine, all vehicles imported into the territory of our country are exempt from VAT, excise, and import duties. The law also applies to motor vehicles intended for participation in hostilities and to civilian vehicles (new and used).
How will the car registration process go:
- Certification;
- Payment of 3.5% of the total cost of the car to the Pension fund;
- License plate payment;
- Payment for a vehicle registration certificate.
Which vehicles are covered by the law?
- Cars;
- Body, trailer, semi-trailer for a passenger car;
- Vehicles for transporting people;
- Cargo vehicles.
An imported vehicle must comply with the environmental standard from Euro-2 to Euro-5. When registering a car with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a specialized certificate of compliance with environmental standards will be issued.
