The 4th package of additional funding through the project Support for public spending to ensure sustainable public administration in Ukraine. Ukraine will use a $1.25 billion grant for priority needs: social and military security and restoration of critical objects. It also will be used to provide pensions for the elderly, continue social payments, including for internally displaced persons, and pay salaries to doctors and employees of the state emergency service.
"Assistance in the form of grants does not increase the debt burden and contributes to the stabilization of the financial system," the minister of finance of Ukraine Serhii Marchenko.
Recall that a joint project by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International development association has already provided grants to Ukraine 3 times during the Russian invasion. In general, America has supported Ukraine since the first days of the war. Therefore, as part of the PEACE project, they have already sent financial resources of $16.7 billion.
