$1.7 Bln Grant to Ukraine From Targeted Donor

Grant created by IBRD, International Development Association and USAID

On July 9, after a government meeting, the prime minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced that a grant of $1.7 billion. The fund had been raised under the initiative of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the International Development Association and USAID.

"These are the results of the agreements reached by development partners due to the large-scale aggression unleashed by Russia against Ukraine. The grant will be attracted on a gratuitous, irrevocable basis to the state budget of Ukraine from USAID with the support of the IBRD and IDA," Denys Shmyhal.

It is known that the grant will be aimed at compensating Ukraine's expenses from the state budget for paying for medical guarantees. This is incredibly significant for Ukraine in a war where hundreds of soldiers and civilians are injured daily.

We remind you that Gerard Larsche, head of the French senate, spoke in the Ukrainian parliament today.
