$125 Mln From the USA to Restore Key Structures of Ukraine

The funds will be used for urgent repairs in war-damaged electricity/water/heat supply systems

The first lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska took part in the World Economic Forum in Davos, where she was able to talk with USAID administrator Samantha Power. According to the American media AP News, during a dialogue with the first lady, a USAID representative said that the United States will help Ukraine "keep up with Russian strikes that are hitting the country's electrical system."

Every day, millions of Ukrainians live in darkness and cold. To mitigate the consequences of Russian aggression, repair teams and power equipment will be sent to Ukraine: backup power systems, gas turbines, transformers, and so on. Funds for equipment purchase are included in the additional package from the US Congress, which was adopted in December 2022.

Earlier, Ukraine received 1.415 generators from USAID to return heat and light to schools, hospitals and other critical social structures.
