13.900 Unemployed Ukrainians Joined “Army of Recovery”

The State employment service of Ukraine reported that in 16 regions of the country 

Army of Recovery is a project of the government of Ukraine since the autumn of 2022. People who have lost their jobs due to the war can conclude a fixed-term employment contract with the state and join socially useful work: painting walls, picking up garbage, dismantling bricks, and so on. According to the SES, at the end of 2022, 3.314 Ukrainians got a job in the Army of recovery, and on April 13, 2023 already 13.900 people in 16 regions of Ukraine.

Leaders by region:

  • Poltava 3.500 people;
  • Donetsk 1854;
  • Kyiv 1814;
  • Kharkiv 1612;
  • Sumy 1408.

Also, there is a volunteer organization, Brave to recover in Kyiv, which daily helps to eliminate the consequences of the war in the cities and villages of the Kyiv region.
