The embassy of Japan in Ukraine announced the allocation of grant humanitarian aid to a state suffering from war.
"In response to a request from the Ukrainian Embassy in Tokyo, through the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), assistance will be provided for the transportation of fire-fighting equipment and communication devices, medicines, medical supplies, etc., which are urgently needed in Ukraine," the embassy said.
Some time ago, the vice minister of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries of Japan Takebe Arata handed over a food package to Ukraine. Ukraine and the states hosting refugees from Ukraine need food, and through the representative of Japan in Poland, humanitarian aid worth about $200 million was transferred to the needs of Ukraine and the vascular countries helping it.
As part of the program For economical and social development, Japan announced the transfer to Ukraine of an additional tranche of 300 million yen (about $600 million).
