The popular e-commerce service eBay sent out a warning letter to Ukrainian users that it should add a 20% value-added tax to its services. This is because, in January 2022, the Google tax law came into force. The rate will be applied to each payment for the service that Ukrainian users will provide.
At the same time, the company emphasizes that this change will not affect product ads in any way, and users of the site will not have to change anything.
The company advises reading more about these changes in the corresponding section of the support site. The publication notes that there is no separate answer about Ukraine, as, for example, on Facebook.
You can read about what services are paid on eBay, as well as the size of the commission and what conditions are applied to the sale of goods on the site, in the corresponding support section.
There are two main types of commissions on the site: insertion fees (when placing ads) and final value fees (for the sale of goods).
