The popular e-commerce service eBay sent out a warning letter to Ukrainian users that it should add 20% value-added tax to its services. This is due to the fact that in January 2022 the so-called Google tax law comes into force. The rate will be applied to each payment for the service that will be provided by Ukrainian users.
At the same time, the company emphasizes that this change will not affect product ads in any way and users of the site will not have to change anything.
The company advises reading more about these changes in the corresponding section of the support site. The publication notes that there is no separate answer about Ukraine, as, for example, on Facebook.
You can read about what services are paid in eBay, as well as what the size of the commission and on what conditions are applied to the sale of goods on the site, in the corresponding support section.
There are two main types of commissions on the site: insertion fees (when placing ads) and final value fees (for the sale of goods).
