The war started by the neighbouring state continues in Ukraine. For 9 months, Ukrainian cities have been suffering from missile attacks, almost 2 months, from suicide drone attacks on civilian infrastructure and homes. A few months ago, the war hud changed, and now the Russian army is forced to defend or retreat. The Ukrainian army was able to advance in the Lugansk region, daily changing the borders of the invaders in the Kherson region. The most difficult situation in the Donetsk region is the city of Bahmut. There Russian soldiers are constantly trying to advance, as this point on the Ukrainian map is an important strategic link.
For the first time in a long time, the head of the main intelligence department of the Ministry of defence Kyrylo Budanov made forecasts about the dismissal of Kherson. He believes that in the city, the best Russian soldiers — are about 40.000. Therefore, the operation to dismiss Kherson will last at least until the end of autumn. This means that the Ukrainian soldiers will soon take away from the Russian Federation the important territory that will shake their morale and lead the Russian army to a critical point. On the 249 days of the war, the losses of the occupiers rose again:
- 71.200 — personnel;
- 2.672 — tanks;
- 5.453 — armoured personnel vehicle;
- 1.724/383 — artillery systems/MRS;
- 197 — anti-aircraft warfare systems;
- 274/252 — aircraft/helicopters;
- 1.412 — UAV operational-tactical level;
- 352 — cruise missiles;
- 16 — warship/boats;
- 4.120 — vehicles, fuel tanks;
- 154 — special equipment.
