Minister of internal affairs of Ukraine Denys Monastyrskyy said that Ukraine needs to clear almost half of its area from mines. The total area of mined territories is 30 million hectares. These are the territories that were occupied, as well as those closest to them.
Today, 2.7 million hectares have been demined in the territory of Kyiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions.
"We attract foreign teams of pyrotechnicians and their equipment, they help us to clear Ukrainian territories," Denys Monastyrskyy.
The minister also noted that the demining of territories continues in the Kyiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions. Unfortunately, in every region of Ukraine, there are tragic cases of death from the explosion. Most often this happened in the fertile Kherson region, since the fields were mined there. From the beginning of spring in Ukraine, sowing, then — harvesting. The number of deaths will increase.
