Philip Morris International launches its next production in Ukraine. This year, the construction of production begins, and the launch is expected at the beginning of 2024. The new enterprise will create jobs for 250 people, many of whom will be transferred from the factory in Kharkiv.
"This investment sends a powerful signal to other international investors — confidence in the Ukrainian economy, the Ukrainian people and the future of Ukraine," Massimo Andolina, president of the European region of Philip Morris International.
PMI has been operating in Ukraine for 20 years. The first factory was in Kharkiv. After the outbreak of a full-scale war, the company moved to the production of Imperial Tobacco in Kyiv. Now competitors are working under the same roof, and Philip Morris is scaling up production.
