On December 21, the Ministry of defence of Denmark published a notice on the allocation of 300 million kroner (≈ $34.5 million) for purchasing military equipment and weapons for Ukraine. Funds will be allocated from the National reserve of compromises and transferred to the donor International Fund for Ukraine in Great Britain.
"Ukraine's struggle for freedom is also our and European struggle for freedom. The government, together with the parties in the Danish parliament, therefore decided to donate an additional 300 million kroner to Ukraine. The Danish government will continue to support Ukrainians both financially and militarily and humanitarian," defence minister Jakob Ellemann-Jensen.
Minister Ellemann-Jensen added that on December 19, he spoke with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and the president told him about the constantly high level in the armament of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"That's why I'm glad that Denmark can make another major contribution to Ukraine's fight for freedom," Jakob Ellemann-Jensen.
International Fund for Ukraine is an international organization created after a charity conference in Copenhagen. The contribution made from Denmark's enhanced manoeuvring "fund" will further strengthen Ukraine's defence capability and the usefulness of the IFU.
