$37 Mln to Repair Helicopters and Aircraft Rescuers

The government of Ukraine has allocated funds from the reserve fund to repair 7 aircraft and 12 helicopters of the "State Emergency Service" of Ukraine

"The government is constantly taking measures to prevent threats to the lives of citizens of Ukraine and to protect the environment. To eliminate large-scale fires and floods, as well as to fulfill the tasks of humanitarian assistance. It is extremely important for the government to maintain the aviation equipment of the State Emergency Situations Service in good condition", said the first vice prime minister - minister of economy of Ukraine Oleksiy Lyubchenko.

On June 2, 2021, the government agreed to a decree providing for the purchase of another modern fire-fighting aircraft An-32P for the SESS through a loan under state guarantees. It is also planned to purchase two An-178-100R aircrafts under the same conditions.

Among the aircraft, the State Emergency Situations Ministry uses AN-26 in medical configuration, fire AN-32P, as well as EU-145 and Mi-8 MT helicopters.

We shall remind you that the airborne vehicles of the State Emergency Situations Ministry more than once helped to save lives. In July, a 9-year-old child who had been seriously injured by a gunshot was taken to the capital's clinic by a SESS helicopter from Novograd-Volynskyy city.
