On June 16, Klaus Iohannis told reporters about the work to open a third route between the bordering states. Today, there are two points between Ukraine and Romania.
"We are working on opening a new crossing point of the Romanian-Ukrainian border. In addition, we are restoring sections of the railway on the territory of Romania for transport needs," Klaus Iohannis.
With the support of the majority of parliamentarians, Romania began the development of a maritime "blue corridor" for the passage of maritime transport through the Black sea.
Also, the president of Romania personally confirmed to Volodymyr Zelenskyy the support of his state in Ukraine's European aspirations.
