The Ministry of internal affairs and the Emergency service of Ukraine have been helping Ukraine in the affected territories to evacuate and receive assistance for 5 days now. Affected regions: Kherson (where the Kakhovska hydroelectric power station was located), Mykolaiv, and Dnipro. Regional statistics.
Kherson. The region is divided into 2 parts by the Dnipro river: the right bank of the region is controlled by Ukraine, and the left one is still occupied by Russians. 47 settlements were flooded: 33 on the right bank (3.815 houses) and 14 on the left. 2.620 people were evacuated, including 160 children. 4 people died. During the evacuation, the Russians shot people and boats: 11 people are injured, 2 of whom are volunteers. Another 13 people are missing.
Mykolaiv region. 31 settlements flooded. 936 people were rescued, including 167 children. 1 person died.
Dnipro region. Kakhovka reservoir was part of the water supply infrastructure of the Dnipro region. Now 89.000 Ukrainians in 26 cities and villages are left without water. Local authorities bring water to residents in tanks.
As of June 10, 12:55 p. m., 27 people are considered missing.
Ukrainians began to massively send clothes, hygiene products, medicines and other essentials to the affected regions and the sorting centre in Kyiv for those left homeless because of the Russians. The Onuki charitable foundation and Nova Poshta opened a free delivery line for humanitarian parcels, and in just 3 days, 240.000 Ukrainians sent aid to victims in Kherson and Mykolaiv.
