$6.5 Bln of Investment and Reinvestment in Ukraine in 2021

The strategy of economic development of Ukraine until 2030 has every chance to become the basis for increasing investments up to an annual $15 bln from 2025

On December 14, at the UkraineInvest forum, the prime minister of Ukraine shared that within the framework of the new Eastern Partnership, Ukraine plans to end this year with a total investment of $6.5 billion.

“This year we expect that the volume of foreign investment, including reinvestment, will be the largest in the last 5 years and amount to $ 6.5 billion,” Shmyhal.

State incentives for increased investment in the country's economy, according to Denys Shmyhal, contribute to an increase in funding for various areas of Ukraine's development.

“In February of this year, the law on state support for investment projects with significant investments came into force. It assumes a number of incentives for projects over $ 20 million. The first two applications for state support will be submitted this week,” the prime minister said.

The total amount of applications for state support is almost $97 million.

“These are projects in the field of agricultural processing and in the production of insulation materials, mineral wool. This is relevant from the point of view of the future Energy efficiency program,” was added.

Also, for a total of $2 billion, the state received 27 applications for state support programs in 2021.
