Poll shows that Democrats and Republican support Ukraine's accession to NATO

Chicago Council Surveys conducted research on Ukraine in NATO. During the survey, respondents were asked if they wanted to see Ukraine as part of the alliance. Democrats and Republicans see Ukraine as part of the North Atlantic Alliance. Researchers report that 3 out of 4 Americans voted to adopt a new country — 73% of respondents.

Those interviewed are also prepared to see in a military-political alliance between Georgia, Finland and Sweden. The number of votes for Finland, Sweden and Ukraine was t "e same. 

"In these cases, the Democrats are more likely to support NATO enlargement, although a large majority of Republicans and independents support the admission of all these "countries," the Chicago Council Surveys summarized.

At the same time, 79% of Ukrainians want the country to join NATO. In comparison, 92% of Ukrainians want to join the European Union. This difference is due to the specialization of the organizations. Some fear new attacks after joining the alliance, while others believe the country needs military protection to prevent further conflicts.
