On July 22, at a meeting of the government of Ukraine, a draft agreement on a mutual visa-free regime between Ukraine and Guatemala was approved. In 2009, Guatemala abolished the need for visas for citizens of Ukraine. Now Ukraine has taken a similar step. This is confirmed by the portal of the government of Ukraine.
"Ukraine and Guatemala have friendly and partnership relations. Guatemala firmly supports our state in countering Russian aggression. When the visa-free agreement enters into force, it will make it possible to strengthen people-to-people contacts, promote the development of business, cultural exchanges, and tourist trips," the minister of foreign affairs Dmytro Kuleba.
The project, approved by the cabinet of ministers of Ukraine headed by Denys Shmyhal, provides for the implementation of visa-free border crossings for citizens of Ukraine and Guatemala on a reciprocal basis. The period of stay in the territory of another state is 90 days within 180 days.
