The Cabinet of Ministers expanded the state support mechanism for aquaculture to cover the entire territory of Ukraine. The changes were approved on 1 April as amendments to Resolution No. 1409.
Businesses can now receive compensation of up to 20% of expenses for breeding, keeping and growing freshwater fish regardless of region. Previously, compensation of up to 30% was available only for farms in frontline or war affected areas.
The government also clarified support conditions for age groups of stocking material. The funding directions remain the same: partial reimbursement of costs for growing stocking material for sale and compensation for purchases of stocking material for pond stocking to produce market fish.
