An authoritative online publication ArchDaily has published a long list of the best projects of the year. The list of the best designers and architectural projects included 13 representatives of Ukraine. They have a chance to become the best in 8 out of 15 magazine nominations.
Immediately 2 Ukrainian designs entered the category of Best Applied Products and Homes. House among the pines from company Archobra, Residence in the garden of rocks from architects Palamarchuk claim to win.
Also, 5 Ukrainian projects appeared in the list of nominations for Hospitality Architecture. Among them minimalist pizzeria Pizzeria Pomidoros BT is made of red stone and facade plates. Cafe TAIU ICE CREAM SHOP, whose textures seem to melt. GRAND EMILY HOTEL LOBBY has also been included in the list of nominees thanks to the convenient furniture on which people can lie and look at the hanging roots of a real tree. The tree itself originates in the lobby of the hotel and ends on the 5th floor. Also on the list is DEEP BAR, which attracts attention with its uniqueness: there is a flower shop, cafe, and bar. The two-level room is made of recycled materials and wood. The centre of the inner composition is considered a tabletop made of wood – it depicts the faces of satisfied people.
Also, fabulous Ukrainian projects are presented in the categories Religious Architecture, Public & Landscape Architecture, Interior Architecture, and Sports Architecture. Until February 15, voting for projects in the long list from ArchDaily takes place. On February 23, the famous publisher will name the winners in each nomination.
Last year ArchDaily chose 22 Ukrainian designers and architectural solutions.
