Azerbaijan Sent 14 Trucks of Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine

The cargo aimed to help Ukrainian engineers restore electricity in de-occupied regions of the state

On October 30, the authorities of Azerbaijan reported about the departure of 14 trucks with humanitarian cargo to ensure the security of Ukraine during possible russian attacks against our energy facilities. Recall last year, during the heating season, russia massively striked our power grids and almost brought the whole of Ukraine into a blackout.

According to the information agency Azertag, the Ministry of energy of Azerbaijan implemented the order of president Ilham Aliyev sinse the summer of 2023. The assistance package includes more than 500.000 m of electrical equipment and cables. Thus, the authorities of Azerbaijan want to help Kyiv continue the process of replacement and restoration of the electricity supply in the territories affected by the russian war.

This is only part of the presidential assistance. Another part of the humanitarian cargo worth $7.6 million will be transferred soon. The total amount of assistance will be $33 million. Azerbaijan has been sending humanitarian aid to Ukraine since the summer 2022. Baku helped Kyiv in overcoming the most severe consequences of the terrorist actions of the russian federation in Ukraine: the undermining of the Kahovka hydroelectric station and the resumption of power plants.
