On October 25, real training of Ukrainian pilots on the F-16 started at the 162nd Wing of the Arizona Air National Guard. The US Air Force, in an article for Air & Space Forces Magazine, said that the course involves a small number of pilots, and the workload is tailored to the pilot's level of training. The average pilot training is 6 months. However, Ukraine does not have this time, so the course for Ukrainians will last up to 3 months.
Previously, the pilots passed a language test and were also trained in flight simulators that fully depict the cockpit of a real F-16 fighting falcon.
