“Baykar Makina” Launch in Ukraine

Turkish company will open a service centre for the repair and maintenance of unmanned aerial vehicles in Ukraine

An agreement of cooperation was signed between the Ministry of defence of Ukraine and the management of the Turkish company Baykar Makina. The agreement is included in the framework of strengthening relations between the 2 countries in the space, aviation and high technology industries. The plant will begin to build soon. Its main objective will be the operational repair and maintenance of unmanned aerial vehicles. The location of the plant is not disclosed as part of safety. It is known that the Ukrainian Ministry and the company are beginning to work together to increase combat capabilities to counter the Russian invasion war. Also, on 10 July, the MoD of Ukraine reported that Baykar started constructing a plant to produce drones Bayraktar, which became famous in Ukraine from the first days of defence.

"We are moving forward and need to create our base in Ukraine for servicing drones. This joint project will lay the foundation for our systematic work. Special thanks to Baykar for its contribution to increasing the power of the armed forces in the fight against Russian aggression," thanked the secretary of state of the Ministry of defence of Ukraine, Kostiantyn Vashchenko.

Recall that Ukraine announced the creation of the world's first army UAV.
